Wolfgang Van Halen and fiancée Andraia Allsop are married!
On Sunday, the 32-year-old frontman for the band Mammoth WVH – who's the son of the late legendary guitarist Eddie Van Halen and actress Valerie Bertinelli – exchanged "I do’s" with Allsop, a software engineer and photographer, USA TODAY can confirm. They got engaged last year in July after dating for seven years, and Sunday marked their eight-year anniversary.
According to People magazine's exclusive on the nuptials, the couple married at their Los Angeles home in front of 90 guests, and the ceremony included several touches that honored loved ones who couldn't be there, including Eddie Van Halen.
Wolfgang walked down the aisle with his mom to an instrumental song that his father wrote for him, titled "316." "It'll be a nice way to include my dad," he told People.
After exchanging their vows in the living room, they hosted a reception in their backyard, per the outlet.
"Our goal was just to bring all of our closest family and friends together," Allsop said. "The past few years, not only with the world, but also with personal tragedies, haven't been the easiest, but we wanted to create this wedding as a celebration not only just for us to get married, but a celebration for the people we love."
On Monday, Wolfgang shared People's post about the ceremony to his Instagram Story with a heart and an infinity emoji.
How Wolfgang Van Halen and Andraia Allsop paid tribute to Eddie Van Halen
The couple reserved an empty chair at the ceremony in honor of the late Van Halen, Allsop told People. She also wore a necklace Eddie Van Halen once gifted to Bertinelli, who lent her the piece for the occasion.
"Ed would’ve been absolutely beaming and so, so proud of the man Wolfie has become and is becoming and so happy that he has found Andraia, someone who really understands Wolfie, who he is and who he wants to be and supports him wholeheartedly," Bertinelli told the outlet.
Allsop also incorporated "little memory charms with a picture of Wolfie and his dad on it" that she'd made for those with boutonnieres, corsages or bouquets.
Earlier this month, Wolfgang paid tribute on the third anniversary of his father's death. "No happy moment in my life goes by without a painful ache, knowing I can’t share it with you. I wish you were here. I love you, Pop," he posted on X, formerly Twitter, on Oct. 6.
In 2020, Eddie Van Halen died at 65 years old; he'd "lost his long and arduous battle with cancer," Wolfgang shared on social media.
In August, Mammoth WVH released its sophomore album, "Mammoth II." In an interview with USA TODAY, Wolfgang revealed that "almost everything on this was a new idea."
"I think I had five or six song ideas from March 2020 and then I went creatively bankrupt and lost every bit of desire while I was taking care of Dad and watching the state of the world," he said. "After we toured a little bit, in early 2022, the creative spurts kind of happened.”
